ubuntu with gnome 3 – change login screen logo [solved]

To change login screen logo on ubuntu with gnome 3, proceed as follows:

  1. sudo apt-get install dconf-editor
  2. open dconf-editor as root:
    sudo dconf-editor
  3. navigate to org > gnome > login-screen
  4. update value of “logo” variable to the path of logo file to use
    dconf-login-screen
  5. restart GDM

And voilà!
